This is an introduction to the Alternative Thinking Philosophy website. It is also an invitation to study here and possibly work here. Alternative Thinking Philosophy is not about religion nor is it a cult. The purpose of the Alternative Thinking Philosophy website is to give unhappy people an alternative way of thinking that will work toward solving some of the problems in their lives and create more happiness for them.

I think the first step in the process of becoming a happier person is to establish a more accurate belief system. I believe every problem we have stems from believing something to be true that is not true. Only when a person has established an accurate belief system, will they get to where they want to go and enjoy the journey.

You already have a belief system and this belief system is what you use to base all your decisions on. When you base your decisions on beliefs that are not true, there is little chance that your decisions will yield the expected results. We form our belief system by what we choose to believe from the information we get through our five senses.

My topic for this message is about what we believe that comes in by way of our sense of hearing. Most of what we hear in the beginning is from our parents, teachers, preachers, family, and friends. We learn what they believed to be true when they learned it. Maybe it was true and maybe it was not. At one time, the belief was that the earth was flat. Sailors had to be careful not to sail off the edge of the earth. The belief today is that the earth is somewhat round.

Imagine if there were no changes in beliefs in the last 1000 years. How well could a person exist in today's society believing just what the people believed 1000 years ago? Over time, some old beliefs are discarded and some new beliefs are established. I am not saying that all the old beliefs are not true, and I am not saying that all the new beliefs are true. They must all be questioned.
To learn what is true and what is not, we must question and evaluate every statement before we believe it.

To consistently make decisions that benefit us we must have an accurate belief system. The Alternative Thinking Philosophy website does not tell people what to believe. Instead, it teaches people the process of establishing their own belief system.

A person's belief system has far more effect on their lives than anything else they have control over. How much effort have you applied to the one thing in life that you have absolute control over and that means so much?

Through years of study and deliberate thinking and questioning, I have learned how to create an accurate belief system. I want to share this very practical and believable process with anyone who is open to learn. I am not suggesting that you live by my system. I am suggesting that if you have not already defined your belief system, mine may give you ideas and assist you in the self-discovery process of developing your own accurate belief system.

As Shakespeare said, "This above all to thine ownself be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man". If you would like to work with me, or learn from me, please contact me.
