Happiness & Hurt Feelings

Happiness is a feeling that we create within ourselves when we consistently tell ourselves the truth and those truths are positives. One of the things that people lie to themselves is about what is their responsibility for their feelings. I think we are responsible for our feelings. I base this on the following belief. I learned this belief in counseling in in the 80s and it has changed my life.



"All my feelings come from a combination of
my body chemistry and my mental process.
My body chemistry affects my mental process.
My mental process affects my body chemistry."



I think most people do not accept responsibility for their feelings. Whenever you make statements that indicate that you are not responsible for your feelings, you are not telling the truth. When you say a person has hurt your feelings, you are saying that you are not responsible and they are in charge.
